Meet the Author
Writing is Rick Ferguson's passion. As a member of the Writers Communities of Durham and York Region and the Uxbridge Writer's Circle, he's encouraged to renew his creative energy and do what writers love best-create unique characters and situations that challenge their imagination while enticing the reader.
Rick Ferguson retired after a 45-year career in the sheet metal industry. His career path of apprentice to journeyman culminated in project management and estimating, 35 of those years with Black and McDonald Ltd. Rick achieved certification as a professional quantity surveyor. He spent six years as a member of the board of directors of the Toronto Sheet Metal Contractors Association, and joined the board of directors of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association.
His hobbies over the years included nine years coaching quarterbacks and receivers with the York-Simcoe Young Bucs Football Club, coaching baseball and playing recreational hockey. When not writing he enjoys walking his dog Ellie, watching classic films, woodworking and baking Christmas cookies.
Our Vision
Rick Ferguson writes in many genres. He says, "Ideas populating in my imagination may come from anywhere. I don't try to control it!"
General Fiction, Fantasy, Historical and Science Fiction, Fan Fiction and even Children's Fiction are all areas he has dabbled in. Feel free to categorize some of the work once you've read it!
